Tower of Bubble

    I went on a mission to see the 2 water towers that Yorkshire Water are auctioning off. {nowhere on your site has shown this}. Lovesome Hill near North Allerton, for sale for a tiny £5000 estimate and Wheldrake estimate £20000. Wheldrake looks likely to be converted, Lovesome Hillo, sadly, which I had tried to raise funds to save goes under the hammer 18th and in all likelyhood will be demolished. I nam very saddened by his but just couldnt raise the money to save her majesty. I fortunately had time to visit Moorytown Watert Tower leeds, my all time favourite. Skreeworld blog

    The tower is not mentioned specifically in any record we hold although someone reading this might be able to respond. Leeds' water supply was municipalised in 1852 so may date to shortly after that?
